What is Social Empires about?
It is a strategy game: you build houses and farms, send villagers to gather resources, train troops and stand up to the trolls. As you grow, dragons, heroes and fortresses join in.
The server saves and checks your progress (resources, buildings, troops and quests), so your village is the same in any browser.
How to start step by step
The first steps, in the same order the game teaches them.
-
Train villagers
Click the Town Hall and choose Train. Villagers are the ones who gather resources: without them, your village produces nothing.
-
Put them to work
Select a villager and click a crop to produce food, or a tree to get wood.
-
Collect and build
When the food is ready, an icon appears: click it and it's added to your storage. With what you gather, you build more houses, a mill or barracks.
-
Raise an army
Barracks train infantry, archers, cavalry and siege machines. The higher your level, the more options open up.
-
Withstand the attacks
Trolls camp nearby and attack every few hours. Your towers and troops decide how each attack ends.
-
Choose your first draggy
When you finish the tutorial you get a dragon nest and pick one draggy out of three. After that, every level gives you a new title and unlocks buildings and troops.
The 5 Core Resources
Where each one comes from and what it is for. Buildings and their levels are the game's own.
-

Gold
Where to get it
Gold mines: villagers work them and you collect what they produce. Gold also comes from campaign quest loot and its chests.
What it is for
Training troops and building most advanced buildings and decorations.
-

Wood
Where to get it
Lumber mills and the trees on the map: send a villager to chop them.
What it is for
Houses, barracks, mills, farms, archery ranges, stables and workshops.
-

Food
Where to get it
Farms, ranches and mills: send a villager and collect when the icon appears.
What it is for
Training villagers: each one costs 50 food.
-

Stone
Where to get it
Stone mines and the rocks on the map.
What it is for
Your village's defenses: towers and walls.
-
Cash
Where to get it
By levelling up (1 per level from level 5) and with the Cash Wonder.
What it is for
It is the currency for special things: dragons, castles and unlocking a building before you reach its level.
Level & Title Ladder (Level 1 to 45)
Every experience point (XP) earned from building, training, and battling brings you closer to a new military rank.
From level 5 the game gives you 1 Cash for every level you gain.
Your village awaits
You know how to start. Head back to the game whenever you like, or keep browsing the Codex.
Open game modes
Only the modes the server has open to every player right now appear here; their numbers come from the real configuration.
Codex of Dragons & Draggies
Real attack, life, range, speed, and cost statistics of the dragons in the game.
Rank is this guide's own grouping, taken from the life of each family's adult dragon (Elemental, Epic, Legendary or Supreme); the game itself has no rarities.
Heroes, Legends, Mages & Troops
Iconic characters you can choose as your avatar or deploy in your human and troll battles.
Buildings, Defenses & Special Sanctuaries
Economic structures, military barracks, walls, towers, and special fortresses for your village.
